Away for a while...

Journal Entry: Sun Oct 12, 2008, 3:29 AM

(Quick note: I'm going to use pretty :iconmynti:'s Journal CSS design for now)

I've been away for a big while... my last two months haven't been the best ones in this year and I've been up to so many things I even stopped seeing my dA account. Sorry for all the late answers.

My works are currently frozen and on development hell due my computer stuck on the workshop, taken for upgrades and sittin' there until next week.

And since my mood is being kinda blue lately, I'm just going to leave you this song in here... Def Leppard, anyone?

Here I am, I'm in the wrong bed again
Its a game I just can't win
There you are breathin' soft on my skin
Still you won't let me in
So come on

Why save your kisses for a rainy day?
Baby let the moment take your heart away

Have you ever needed someone so bad? yeah
Have you ever wanted someone that you just couldn't have?
Did you ever try so hard that your world just fell apart?
Have you ever needed someone so bad?
And your the girl I gotta have
I gotta have you baby

There you go, midnight promises again, yeah
But they're broken by the dawn
You wanna to go further, faster everyday, baby
But in the morning you'll be gone
And I'm alone

Why save your kisses for a rainy day?
Baby let the moment take your heart away

Have you ever needed someone so bad? yeah
Have you ever wanted someone that you just couldn't have?
Did you ever try so hard that your world just fell apart?
Have you ever needed someone so bad?

Every dream I dream is like some kind of rash 'n' recklessscene
To give out such crazy love
You must be some kind of drug
And if my time don't ever come
For me you're still the one
Damned if I don't, damned if I do
I've gotta get a fix on you

Have you ever needed someone so bad? yeah
Have you ever wanted someone that you just couldn't have?
Did you ever try so hard that your world just fell apart?
Have you ever needed someone so bad, so bad
Have you ever wanted someone?
Have you ever wanted someone? yeah
Did you ever try so hard that your world just fell apart?
Have you ever needed someone so bad?
And your the girl I gotta have
I gotta have you baby

Its a game I just can't win, oh

Have you ever needed someone so bad?
Have you ever wanted someone?
Have you ever wanted someone you just couldn't have?
Did you ever try so hard that your world just fell apart?

I still own some features I had to do a long time ago for some friends. But after writing my newest Open, I'm going to leave it for another day.

:star: I'm open to photographic requests :star:

On the next dA, :iconaiarashi: is going to get the request he asked for a long time ago as part of this feature (sorry for taking so long). So, if anyone has something in mind, NOTE me about it (of course there are conditions, but they will appear depending on the complexity of the request).

Tags and stuff also coming soon... be on your toes.

Devious Journal Entry

Journal Entry: Mon Jun 9, 2008, 2:17 AM

Once again, no Devious Week Entry… I’ve been busy like all hell, my work is getting tedious this week for some deadlines and stuff. To top it off, an airplane flew off the airport and crashed many blocks away from my house… blocking the streets and creating a weekly traffic that forces me to wake up one hour and a half early to get to my work.

Life, life…

So, now that I quit bitchin’… it’s time for a new feature. During this week I’ll update this again and remove some thumbnails from the older features (to not make this thing load that much)… now I gotta sleep, I need to wake up in three hours.

*Minor edit done for grammar horrors due overnight journalism*

Ibrahim - One day, surfing through dA, Ibrahim bumped with my gallery and left some comments, regarding his likeness for my art.

His discovery was my door for his amazing gallery, which I forcibly feature as something I never thought I could find on DeviantArt.

These arts I'm about to feature, are outstanding. Mixing drawings skills, colorful effects and such, his wicked hand ability to write these curvy characters makes him worthy of anyone's eyes.

Jane - A few days ago, Jane started to feature her friends on her journal. I noted her about featuring me, with no strings attached, I feature her also in mine.

Her gallery features a little bit of everything. For me, she excels on photography, her beautiful landscapes and animals transmit a warm and friendly feeling whenever I watch her gallery.

Personally, I think her gallery might reflect how sweet she could be. ;)

Damien - Being the person who introduced me to dA, Damien has been with me since the beginning and I’ve been able to appreciate his growing abilities on arts through time.

Apart from this unique style, his draws always featured many realistic details that the regular artist could not do or never thought of applying. Improving these skills gave birth to the realistic portraits he does now.

Yuri - Whenever I think about different cultures... Yuri is one of the first persons to come into my mind. Someone who reflects many talents by submitting more than draws, but artistic techs and concepts that reflect pop culture of her own roots into her gallery.

She won somekind of charisma to my eyes, rendering me to always find something charming about some things she submits. Due the charm of whatever it was the Deviation, the nature of my comment on it might make her feel embarrassed.

Zhania - Ruins, cemeteries, Lovecraft-ish concepts, urban photography make Zhania’s gallery feel like home for someone with a taste for something visceral and unique from everyone.

She captures the memories of forgotten places, urban landscapes and herself, every shot is taken while her existentialism goes beyond barriers, processing the reason why this newer Deviation important to her gallery. Turning usual places and personal photos into a mixed pool of concepts that involve story, beliefs and rituals of past times.

James - A kind hearted person who’s imagination flies through epic grounds were fearsome creatures and mythical heroes collide in a fantastic world.

Never fearful of critics (but open to opinions that might help him to improve), James has uploaded his stories and tales about this creative universe captivating the eye of the ones with taste for epic fiction (including me) with good narrative skills that give life to his fables.

All my picks from his gallery, are writen art.

Devious Feature Entry

Journal Entry: Mon May 12, 2008, 12:19 AM

Good morning! :)

Today's journal is going to be quite different from the other ones... no Devious Week (I know you all miss to read my trivia, but sacrifices most be done). :XD:

So, today I'm going to feature five of my watchers (who I'm watching too) and five highlights of their galleries (one will be called: Strongest feature, for being the one I like the most) with respective comments or thoughts about the features that I picked. Watch them without fear, there are no tags on this journal (I ain't doing tags anymore).

I just recommend you to... enjoy. :D

(I'm working on a CSS journal, but I'm using this cool layout now... credits on bottom)

Onto the list... Features of the Week:

Devious Week Entry

Journal Entry: Mon May 5, 2008, 10:21 AM

Good morning!

It's about time I updated my journal (I'll use CSS as soon as I get time to sit and design something that isn't for my job). But here are the basics of this week.

Overall everything's fine for me. I haven't had too much time for working on newer stuff, but I'm trying to stick to my tablet and draws to feed my account with something different. And of course, continue my stamp galore, which is the reason why by now different people is browsing me.

I'd like to thank everyone for their care and patience (now that I'm working and it's hard to check dA often), once again, thanks for keeping up. :)

Onto the list... Basics of the Week:

** Newer icePod: …taking 2000000 music CDs that don’t work well even on my computer, it’s a pain to do on my job... a nice offer by one of our stores in here gave away an iPod Nano with a comfortable payment plan. :)

So, now I carry my :+fav: music everywhere. People often complain about music in different lenguages (like Kotoko or Naomi Tamura) and how “weird” New Age music is, having all this mix on my iPod confused them.

For me, I don’t care… for the average Honduran who gets mugged on every corner… I even use it when riding a Bus… somehow, I’m “addicted” to my music and I have to carry it were ever I go.

I might be just another mental case on this. :lmao:

** Headphones Galore: …Speaking to people in here and different countries has become a little bit more often on my job. By now I have a different headset for doing so.

Since I can’t take down my iPod (I always have the headset wrapped in my neck whenever I have it inside my pocket). When using Skype (I’m always there now, so you can add me if you like), I just put on the headset w/microphone and lower the iLuv to my neck. Making me somehow curious to watch for being stuffed with hearing gizmos

My co-workers often find me the unique between the crowd for the crazy stuff I’m into (like DeviantArt). Today I’m wearing a black polo-shirt with skulls and a red dreamcatcher around my neck, and they’re used to see something more “formal” in here, so they wonder if I’m Gothic or Emo. :lmao:

** Forbidden PS2: …My newer PS2 shines among the consoles I have like something fresh. My sister complains that “I got too much consoles” (but all she wants is to take down my XBOX for playing GTA: San Andreas, her fave game :)), but it’s for great justice:

Xbox doesn’t have the franchises I die for. On top of this, it lacks the 3rd part of my fave survival horror games… *coughs…Fatal Frame… coughs… Silent Hill… coughs*

And the main one after Fatal Frame: Forbidden Siren, which by now I bought and I’m taking down every chance I get. I also need all the RPGs I’m not getting from Xbox (like River King, Harvest Moon, Persona 3 and Xenosaga) and of course, the first Devil May Cry (I just hate the other two). :D

Forbidden Siren is always the highlight of the PS2 (and Siren: New Translation is the reason why I want to waste cash on the awfully expensive PS3, which I doubt I’ll ever buy at this rate)… I can’t live without survival horror, let alone this kick ass game that plays like a Japanese horror film.

Siren is the reason why I channel my inner Shibito with my Siren stamps. :noes:

** Selective Movies: … Seeing now the period of 2000-2010, it’s the epoch of remakes and such. Videogames movies, remakes of Asian ones and retakes of old ones are often seeing on the cinema, websites and all around reviewing sites. It’s obvious that Hollywood lost the edge with crap like Hostel or Saw (I liked only the first one) and every remake they’re planning by now of Asian movies, leading the western cinema of this genres into a slow demise.

I know I’m single-handedly complaining for horror movies… but it’s the genre I love and the only one I care by now (with sequels of old movies being main highlights, I don’t watch anything like that anymore) and the Asian cinema has plenty of this to feed me. Independent movies also have something different to offer than the regular stuff, proof of this is Jerome Olivier and his Missing Pages (Amended Version) which is one of the most artistic things ever. ;P

If you’re a movie freak… you should be seeing it already, it’s free to download from the official site of Speaking Pictures, so, there's no excuse.

Follow this link and enjoy. ---> [link] ;P

Enjoy the week. :D

Devious Week Entry

Journal Entry: Wed Apr 16, 2008, 11:38 PM
  • Mood: Daily Needs
  • Listening to: a-Books (Children Of The Corn)
  • Reading: My notebook...
  • Watching: Amores Perros
  • Playing: No One Lives Forever 2
  • Eating: Chicken Panini
  • Drinking: Coffee (like there's no tomorrow)
Wanna now what I've been up to? ...it's time for DEVIOUS WEEK ENTRY (at this rate it should be devious MONTH entry, heh)...

Basics of the Week:

** Lefty Mug: My time consuming job is keeping me from reaching my home to do my regular choirs and I barely take advantage of weekends (days which I sleep all day and stay up all night). But I'm still pretty happy that I can handle everything they put me through.

I believe that I'm a capable person for any task, but the fact that I need to use the mouse with the right hand renders me incapable of using it to grab my new coffee mug. My lefty is absolutely the most clumpsy hand ever (I can't even hold a ruler straight).

After days and days I'm starting to master my grasping ability, by drinking coffee with my left hand. :lmao:

** 2nd Chance: As impossible as it sounded... I'm going back to Windows. Linux has been nothing but trouble (even to post this journal). Sticking codes and other bullshit I got away from when I suspended my career for my job is fundamental with spare time to get this thing moving.

No sound, no executables and useless tablet have rendered this operative system my biggest PAIN IN THE ASS of this month, every night I come home and waste my time swallowing manuals of codes to install stuff and make things work little by little.

And even so, no webcam, no wi-fi, no tablet, NO SHIT... I'm sorry, but I'm fixing things with uncle Bill so his OS does not get on my nerves next time I use it. :dead:

** Movies Galore: I've been buying a bunch of movies lately... mostly asian movies and mexican too. I'm building a pretty large gallery of movies little by little and starting to wonder why the hell I'm downloading western horror-remakes.

Thank God I watch them all by now... I just got the famous short Missing Pages: Amended Version (a british director with japanese actors made literally a huge collage of photos into a movie of 45 minutes with a new kind of animation tech), if you haven't seen it, you should be getting it already. :D

It was so refreshing to see something worthwhile after the storm, that's why I'm keeping up with asian movies and independent filmmakers.

** Cate Archer: Extensive map-traveling and senseless gunfights have gotten into my nerves already, I'm starting to get tired of the same long and contrived routines Halo and FFVII are offering me on my free time; I'm not up for the time these things demand repeating choirs all over.

Before I thought everything was lost, a girl appeared and saved me: Cate Archer, international spy and woman of mystery working for UNITY on the famous award-winning PC game No One Lives Forever 2: A Spy in H.A.R.M.s Way...

Just like Half-Life 2 did once... NOLF2 gave me another reason to change my console for a PC and start cracking some great moments given due the ingenous design of this game.

While other games (like Halo) are praised for their multiplayer... nobody speaks about the disgusting linear story mode they have. NOLF2 has an amazing single-player mode w/objetive-based levels that add to an unique experience of living this incredible world with many gadgets and hundreds of possibilities of doing different kinds of disasters with them. :D

It made me feel like this game is kinda like a cross-over between GoldenEye and Time Splitters (two great games, if NOLF was their amazing offspring, everything comes as no surprise).

Haven't tried this game and you're a fan of First Person Shooters? [Shame on you]

--- --- ---

Anyways, my week has been kinda busy, geeky and whatnot... I just wanna reach the weekend and get out to do something different that does not involve computers... I'm going crazy already with the one on my office, let alone come home and deal with this damn Linux.

Watching some movies and sleeping would be much welcome as well... tonight I'll leave Windows doing what it does best (erase data and formatting disks) to get back on track this weekend and do at least something graphic to upload at dA.

Many thanks to my friends who after all the time I've been out, keep watching me.
